Position Overview

The Accounting Assistant will provide essential support to the accounting team, handling day-to-day financial transactions and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with numbers in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and enter invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Assist with job cost tracking and construction project accounting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support month-end close activities
• Communicate with vendors regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred
• Experience in construction accounting is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $24-26/hour
• Status: Temp-to-Hire
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
